Hello, welcome to my website!

My name is Sharon Vesty and I have been practising as a counsellor in Nottingham/Derby for the past 4 years. I have worked as a counsellor for the NHS in a Hospice and in Primary Care. I currently work in a GP surgery and with private clients.

I also facilitate womens group that provide a supportive, confidential, caring and empowering environment for women to explore their lives fully.

I believe that everyone has the right and ability to fulfill their own personal potential in life. I offer people the opportunity to explore this potential through counselling and to talk in a supportive and confidential environment.

People come to counselling for all sorts of reasons. A significant event, such as bereavement or a relationship breakdown might be the prompt. Or there could be a desire to identify and break unhealthy patterns of behaviour.

You needn't even be clear about your reasons for starting counselling, many people experience a general sense of unhappiness, anxiety or dissatisfaction and use counselling as a way of finding out what these feelings could mean. In short, there are no ‘right' or ‘wrong' reasons - there merely has to be a willingness to take a closer look at those concerns that we cannot easily make sense of by ourselves.

I work with adults on an open ended basis for an agreed time period, with the aim of enabling you to explore and enhance your life and to live it more fully.

I am experienced in helping clients who have experienced difficulties with:

Stress, anxiety, depressionissues, Mother/daughter relationships, couples relationships, transitions, bereavement and loss, health worries,development, Identity,sexual, emotional abuse, self esteem, confidence building and traumatic stress

I practice from Stapleford in Nottingham and Breaston in Derbyshire. Both practices are on a bus route and within easy reach of the city centres.
