About Me

I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I am bound by the BACP ethical Framework for good practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy.

I am currently in training at the Sherwood Institute of Counselling and Psychotherapy at Nottingham This Institute is in partnership with the University of Birmingham.

I am in my 4th year of a 4 year Masters Degree in Humanistic Person Centred Psychotherapy course.
I also have a BSC from Demontfort University in Community Nursing and a MA in Management and Leadership from Leeds University.

My background is in the NHS, both Nursing, Teaching and Management. I therefore understand the culture and expectations of such an environment which can be helpful to some of my clients.

I have made some major life changes and am well placed to support clients who are contemplating similar life decisions.

I am also a parent and so understand the pressures and anxieties that this role brings.

I have worked as a nurse in the NHS for 25 years specialising in Primary Care and palliative care.

I am insured for Professional Liability and am committed to my own personal and professional development and attend regular therapy, supervision and training days.
